Visions

Visions
I don't know why I simmer on standby
Must be more than one side to this tale
I'm at my wit's end, having to listen
Seeing the day bend, guessing its trail
I don't care what side you played on
Wrongful time now long behind
Landscape reshaped in the merciless current
Cannot disguise me inside the scenery

Ambition keeps me busy
Save what can't be changed, erase what may remain
Visions make me dizzy
Were the case more plain, easy to see the same

They like to say it pays to be patient
But I'm not so sure that I would agree
End up suspended in an upsetting moment
Counting the seconds down to infinity
I'm not allowed to think I am winning
Can't lose the posse closing hard on my tail
Leave them to pull me back to my beginning
Even when I was so determined to fail

You took your picture in a photomat
They wouldn't let you get your money back
If I was there I would have told you that

Stumble toward collision
Can't get faces right, cannot see the light
Grumble of this mission
Show signs of decay, flee from the break of day
Ambition keeps me busy
Save what can't be changed, erase what may remain
Visions make me dizzy
Were the case more plain, easy to see the same
