Stagger

Stagger
I'm not here to bring you down
Play the clown, back for another round
Didn't threaten when they said I was into it
Made a promise that I wouldn't get too upset

Left me reeling in a helpless daze
Wanted to make me suffer, put me in my place
But even that I could let go
As soon as I know what you are willing to do
To help me vent my frustration

Far too late to see that I care
Always shared the heaviest burden
And time I spend out with my drinking friend
Would demand such a sad explanation

Don't need assistance to stagger lost
My demolition will have no further cost
And when I return from a hard day
I'd rather permit you to take me far away
On a sunny vacation
Left me reeling in a helpless daze
Wanted to make me suffer, put me in my place
But even that I could let go
As soon as I know what you are willing to do
To help me vent my frustration

Makes sense to commence
In a circular course
Track down all that you found
Drag them out at the source
How completely common
To guess we would both choose the same
Though I like to complain
Say it again
Nobody else to blame

Now you're free to eye me with pity
Or laugh if that makes you happy
Clearly you could never relate to me
Cannot hear the things that you state to me

First you chastise me, drag me to the ground
Easy to criticize, take a look around
And though you can be demanding
It's worth withstanding when at last you relent
To a better sensation
Don't need assistance to stagger lost
My demolition will have no further cost
I can sit by the window
Let you go until I know you will take me
To a happy location
