Sanctuary

Sanctuary
You said it all would end so practically
Loser determined automatically
It almost led me to a heart attack
I know your goal played no small role in that

Never stood solo out in the open
Wondering if you're alive or dead
Long as it takes to make you give up hoping
And start hating everything instead
Never tried waiting by the cold, bright water
Turning your back against the blinding glare
Couldn't relate to the anger of mothers
Couldn't find sanctuary anywhere

By my deduction you have no regret
For reconstruction you've made no attempt
Cold is the aim of your philosophy
Souls fallen slain in such velocity

Never stood solo out in the open
Wondering if you're alive or dead
Long as it takes to make you give up hoping
And start hating everything instead
Never tried waiting by the cold, bright water
Only to learn that life's not fair
Wouldn't you hate the laughter of others?
Leaves you no sanctuary anywhere
